3 Simple Ways to Improve Your Health

We've mentioned habit stacking a few times in the past, but we're going to talk about it again today because we truly believe in the power of it. When done right, it's the easiest way to accomplish and stick to your goals.

If you want to transform your health, these three habits stacked together are the way to go.


Game Plan:

  1. Intermittent fast for 12-16 hours
  2. While fasting, go for a morning walk or do some form of exercise.
  3. Break your fast with a green smoothie

Step 1: 12-16 hour fast

The key to sticking with intermittent fasting is to listen to your body and be flexible with your fasting schedule. You don't always have to fast for 12-16 hours, and your fasting window doesn't always have to be at the same time. Obviously, the more consistent you are, the better your results will be, but slow and steady wins the race. So, if you're new to intermittent fasting, start with 12 hours and build from there. Please remember, the goal of intermittent fasting isn't to starve yourself. It's to give your body a break from digesting, so it can focus on healing and detoxing.


Our favorite fasting window: 8 PM-10 AM (14 hours)

Step 2: Walk or do some form of exercise in the morning.

If you want to have a good day, get up, and workout first thing in the morning. You don't have to do anything crazy either; it could just be a 20-minute walk. But if you can get moving first thing in the morning, your digestion will be better, your focus and energy will be better, and you'll feel so productive. And bonus, there are so many benefits to exercising while fasting.

Step 3: Break your fast with a green smoothie.

When you're fasting window is over, drink a green smoothie. It's easy on your digestive system, it's loaded with nutrients, and will set a tone for how you should eat for the rest of your day too.

When you end one good habit by starting another, it reinforces them, making both habits stronger. It's also important to reward yourself with something good for doing good.
